Kaziranga Wildlife Tour

Located in the heart of Assam on the bank of the majestic Brahmaputra is the Kaziranga National Park. Kaziranga National Prak in Assam is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds.

Assam Kaziranga National Park covers an area of approximately 430-sq-kms with its swamps and tall thickets of elephant grass making it the most ideal habitat for the one-horned Indian Rhino. Due to countless poaching of this prehistoric survivor, the Kaziranga National Park was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1940.

Day 01: Arrival at Guwahati - Kaziranga colorful-rajasthan

On arrival at Guwahati you will be transferred to the Kaziranga National Park where you will check into the resort. Kaziranga national park/wildlife sanctuary is known for the one horned rhinos. Besides the rhinos there are numerous other wildlife species in Kaziranga. Rest of the day will be at leisure. Overnight stay will be at the resort.

Day 02: Kaziranga
In morning you will embark on a Rhinoceros Safari in the Western range of the Kaziranga National Park. After lunch you will go on another Safari in the Eastern range. Overnight stay will be at resort.

Day 03: Kaziranga
After breakfast you will set out for game viewing on Elephant back. Post lunch you will continue your exploration of the wildlife in Kaziranga in the Central range. Overnight will be at resort.

Day 04: Kaziranga - Nameri National Park
In morning you will proceed towards the Brahmaputra River to spot River Dolphins by boat (November-January are the best months). Later we will drive you on to Nameri National Park located on the foothills of Arunachal Pradesh. Upon arrival you will check into the Camp. You will have rest of the day at leisure to indulge in various activities like Angling (tag the fish and throw them back), bird watching, rafting and elephant rides. Overnight stay will be at the Camp.

Day 05: Nameri - Orang Wildlife Sanctuary
In morning you will proceed to the Orang Wildlife Sanctuary and check into Forest Lodge. Rest of the day will be at leisure. Overnight stay will be at lodge.

Day 06: Orang
Breakfast follows a full day game viewing in the Orang Sanctuary. Overnight stay will be at the forest lodge.

Day 7: Orang - Guwahati
In morning you will be driven back to Guwahati and check into your hotel. Post lunch you will take a half-day tour of Guwahati City. Overnight stay will be at hotel.

Day 8: Guwahati - Departure
On the eighth day we come to the end of Kaziranga tour and our representative will transfer you to the airport for your onward journey.
